A Face Splash Tip For Open Pores

Have you ever had problems with large, open pores that prevent your skin from looking bright and refreshed? Everyone has had this situation at least once in their lifetimes! If you were looking for ways how to tighten your pores and immediately brighten your skin, here is the solution – a handful of ice cubes and a bowl of water!

So, if you want to tighten open pores fast using only the home remedies listed above, here is what you have to do (as a side benefit you will get a little arm toning too!).

COLD WATER DOES OPEN YOUR PORES

And this is the whole trick about how to shrink up your pores easily! When you do the 100 times splash your skin will feel refreshed and alive and your pores will tighten thanks to all the cold water.

This is a great thing to do when you wash your face at night but if you are going to a big event make sure and do some face exercises beforehand, then do the 100 times splash and then put on your makeup.

Your skin will radiate thanks to both – the face exercises and the splash. Best of all this is something that you already have the equipment for at home. So quick and easy! You can even do this if you are working late and need a pick me up to go a little longer.

After you try this be sure and tell me what you think in the comments below!

  1. Dear Fumiko,
a week ago I started with your 5 face yoga exercises and 100 face splash. Even though I really love it, my skin is getting worse. Pores got tighter, but acne appeared. I’ve been always struggling with acne, but it just clearly got much worse. I am using running water, no bowl of water, really following all your tips from the “tutorial”. Any suggestions? Shall I hold on or stop?
Thank you in advance for your response.

    1. Hi Veronika, what we always say is listen to your skin, if you believe a new product, recipe, or technique is not doing good for your skin you should definitely stop. Everyone’s skin is different, and I’m sure there are other techniques and recipes that we teach that can be of better use to you 🙂

  3. Hi fumikoo,
I have acne on my lower jaw line so do I only do with running water or do I do with the bowl of water …with running water it is difficult to do 100 times plz suggest

  4. Hi Fumiko,
I bought the e-book when I signed up for the forehead jumpstart. Is this the same e-book.
I m practising the forehead jumpstart, am enjoying it. Haven’t seen results yet, the stubborn line 11. But I am hopeful. I am a bit slow, need more practise.

  5. I have a questions please. Will the face yoga help for under eye wrinkles ?? I don’t even want to smile any longer because my eyes are so bad. I would love love love any suggestions. Thank You so much!!

    1. Hi Mary, Face Yoga can definitely help you with eye wrinkles, our Eye Jumpstart is a great suggestion for you, please take a look at the Courses section for more information 🙂

  6. Hi, I love the 100 times face splash with cold water however I need some advice.
when I wake up in the morning my skin is very oily and I feel after the 100 splashes, I can still see the oil on my forehead and nose. Please advise if I should use a gentle cleanser before or after the splashes?

    1. Hi Angie! Always listen to your skin. If you feel a gentle cleanser is beneficial, go for it! However, a very common mistake when it comes to oily skin is avoiding oily products. When you wash the oil off your skin too much, your skin will produce more oil! 😉 Therefore, we’d recommend looking into the products you use and keep up with 100 Times Face Splash!

Oh this is great and superb
I have started the water splashes only 2 days and I’ve seen what I love so much. My face us glowing now

  10. Hi Fumiko! I tried this but could only get to 50 because my hands were ice cold. Any tips? Thank you!

    1. Hi Sigalit,

Yes, I absolutely understand you, it’s very hard to stop! I was there too, but you can do it. 🙂 My main tip is learning yourself to be aware of what you are doing. Understand that touching your face equals transferring dirt and bacteria from your hands to your skin (which, among others, results in clogged pores) and try to remember it every time you want to put your hands on your face. 🙂

      Hope this helps!

      Best,
      Fumiko

After doing 100 splashes my face looks toned but that toned look doesn’t stay for long. What should be the remedy ?

  12. Hi fumiko: thank you for your all tips. Please if I use from a bowl and later gets warm can I change it or add more cold water?

    1. Fumiko Takatsu

Hi! If the water gets warm again after some time, feel free to add cold water or more ice cubes!

    1. Hi Leslie, everyone is different and therefore has different skin tolerances. I have not heard of this exercise causing rosacea. Make sure to watch out if this exercise irritates your skin.

  13. Why is that I would spread acne if I do the splashes from a bowl?
Could I add vinegar (anti acne) to water and then do it from a bowl?

  14. It seems in the video you say 80 times with warm water and 20 times with ice water. Or is it 100 times ice water? please clarify thanks
