Lip balms in different colors.

Homemade Lip Balm For Dry Winter Lips

Today I want to thank you all with a special treat but first I have a question. Did you know that the average woman in the US eats about 10 lipsticks in her life?  After learning this I became very careful about what I put on my lips. My concern grew when my daughter started using my lip balm. One day, I found her EATING my lip balm!!! It was a natural and organic one I bought at the store but you never know when that was made or how long that was on the store shelf.

After these incidents, I decided to make my own lip balms using natural, fresh and healthy (most of them are organic!) ingredients.  Now I am in love with my homemade lip balms. They are simply amazing and my lips feel and look smoother than ever! I can even use them under my eyes. I have made a lot of these for Christmas so that I can give them away as gifts and today my gift to you is the homemade lip balm recipe!

I wish all of you who celebrate a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season to all.

p.s. Try my homemade lip balm and let me know how it works for you!

  1. Hi, and thank you!! Can i make it without coconut oil? Can you suggest me another one instead coconut oil? Thank you in joylightlove!!

    1. Dear Idoia,

You can use any kind of oil that you prefer. I personally sometimes use only coconut oil and sometimes I combine a couple of different oils. Thus, yes – use any oil that you like and your lip balm will come out perfect, I am sure! 🙂

      Best,
      Fumiko

    1. Hi Emma,

I would prefer the avocado oil, but if you have only olive oil then yes – go for it! 🙂

      Best,
      Fumiko

  2. I have made it and I am so happy to get my lips healthier. Thank you so much Fumiko.

By the way, could I ask how long this lip balm could last? Cheers!

That is wonderful! Be sure to store it properly so it can last as long as possible! This is especially important with DIY skin care products.
