How To Do An Acupressure Push For An Instant Headache And Eye Relief

I love acupressure. Sometimes it can be a little bit painful but the Acupressure Push works wonders. It stimulates the body at a much deeper level and many times you can feel the benefits right away. In Eastern medicine, it is believed that there are several hundred acupoints along the meridians (the imaginary pathways in the body along which vital energy flows).

Increase Circulation and Relax Tight Muscles

Applying slight pressure to certain pressure points on the body can affect specific organs in the body, regulate blood circulation, and relieve stiffness and tightness in the body, especially in the face areas. Stimulating the pressure points by massaging them will not only increase blood circulation but also relax tight muscles and as a result bring more peace and beauty to your face and mind. The acupressure push can reduce sinus problems, tired eyes, bloodshot eyes, headaches, or stress which all show up on your face. Removing these negative conditions through acupressure will result in a calm, serene face.

How to Locate the Acupressure Points and Apply Pressure

When you push the acupressure points, you may feel…

  • A slight indentation
  • Tightness
  • Dull pain

How to Apply Pressure

  • Do not use your nails. Use the meaty part of your fingertips.
  • Breathe out while applying the pressure. Do not hold your breath.
  • If you feel extreme pain, listen to your body and practice gradually.

Acupressure Push in The Eye Area

If you feel tightness or pain in the eye area, your eyes could be very tired. I do this  acupressure push in the eye area almost every morning in bed before getting out of bed and every evening before going to bed. It wakes me up in the morning and it relaxes my tired eyes in the evening.

Place your hands in prayer position with your index finger at the hairline and thumbs at the inside ends of your eyebrows just above the bridge of your nose, gently apply pressure. Gradually intensify the pressure.

Move your hands toward the center of your eyebrows, and apply pressure at the inside of your eyebrows.
Move your fingers and apply pressure at the slight hollows at the edge of your eyebrows.
If you have your elbows resting on a table it is easier to apply more pressure.
This can help to reduce headache or any fatigue around the eye area.
Make sure and tell me your experience below.  Did you try this and get relief?

  1. I had really sore pressure points, and did this for 3 sets. I held for a long time on the third set, and pretty soon my whole face felt like it leg go of tension. I eased up on the pressure as I felt everything let go. WOW! Amazing result!
