The 4-Step Guide To Incorporating Face Yoga Into Your Daily Life

One of the beauties of practicing the Face Yoga Method is its convenience! Nonetheless, I still hear from students who say “I just do not have time.” I hear you, I mean it. I travel a lot for my work, I am a wife and I am a mother of a super energetic toddler who I chase around all day long. I barely have enough time and energy to take care of myself, so, how do I find time to practice Face Yoga? How can I look younger than my age? For a long time, I was on a quest to find the secret of “having it all”. This Zen quote sums it up for me: “the journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step”. The same can apply to the Face Yoga Method and below you can read how to practice it every day and never neglect your necessities.

4 FAST & EASY WAYS TO FIT FACE YOGA INTO YOUR LIFE

Everybody goes to the bathroom at least a few times a day, right? Most of us drive a car every day. All of us brush our teeth at least once a day. All of us take showers every day. If you can say “yes” to these practices, you will have plenty of time to exercise your face throughout the day.

Step 1

Whenever you go to the bathroom, practice the Bumble Bee. This is one of the exercises that help you plump your lips. Plumper lips make you look young.

With your mouth lightly closed, vibrate your lips together while making a humming sound for 10 seconds or even longer if you can. For the best results, repeat the vibration until you feel a tingly sensation.

Try to do this pose EVERY TIME you go to the bathroom!

Step 2

When you brush your teeth, try the Detox pose. It helps to detox your system, not only physically but also mentally. It can also help you reduce stress. Stress takes a toll on mental health and physical beauty so go ahead and detox it right out of your system.

Step 3

While you are taking a shower, try the Chin Shaper. A double chin can make you look older and heavier but this simple pose REALLY works on your jawline (Just check out these Before/After Face Yoga photos!).

Step 4

The Big O is my best friend when I drive. I often need some stimulation to keep myself focused and awake. In the morning when I drive my daughter to her daycare, I do this pose to reduce eye puffiness which I usually get in the morning. It works and it also wakes me up! Make sure you focus on the road while you do the Big O face, just beware that other drivers may give you funny looks.

Big O exercise!

First things first, let’s cover the step-by-step process of this potent exercise.

  1. Open your mouth by dropping your jaw and make an “O” shape with your mouth by pressing your upper lip area against your teeth.
  2. Feel the smoothening sensation under your eye area.
  3. Hold this for 10 seconds.
  4. Repeat 2 more sets.

The Big O can also be done with the help of the hands. We recommend this option for beginner practitioners to ensure you’re engaging the proper muscles, but it can be helpful for all Face Yogis when re-evaluating your practice.

  1. Place both palms on your temples.
  2. Push your hands upward 45 degrees, toward your ears, lifting the sides of your face.
  3. Open your mouth by dropping your jaw and make an “O” shape with your mouth by pressing your upper lip area against your teeth.
  4. Feel the smoothening sensation under your eye area.
  5. Hold this for 10 seconds.
  6. Repeat 2 more sets.

So, there you have it. What do you think? You can kill many birds with one stone, right? The journey of beauty must begin with everyday practice. You can find the time and a little privacy to do those funny-looking face exercises and practice this Yoga Method every day without spending extra time or being seen by others.
