Perfectly Simple Homemade Body Scrub

Legs and heels can show your age. During the winter when they are covered with long pants and boots you may not take the time to take care of them. Now the summer is approaching in northern California and I am physically getting ready for the hot summer days.

In order to get softer skin, you have to exfoliate old dead skin. Here is a simple homemade and environmentally friendly body scrub using oil and salt from the kitchen.

The Short Cut To My Homemade Body Scrub

All you need is oil and salt. Salt gently exfoliates the old dead skin and oil moisturizes the skin at the same time. Olive oil, coconut oil or jojoba oil will do a great job. You can make this in the kitchen right before you take a shower and turn your shower into a spa.  After washing your body, gently rub this into your skin especially the heels, knees, elbows, and legs. Then rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a towel. Your skin may feel a little oily at first but soon it feels so smooth and soft.

Just a few minutes of body care will make you look and feel so good!

  1. Thank you so much for all the wonderful environmentally-friendly beauty tips, Fumiko! I love all your videos! It has changed my life.

I must admit, too, that I am so intrigued by the beautiful pictures and paintings hanging in the background – so peaceful.
