Overcoming The 3 Big Excuses

“Sounds nice…But I don’t have the time.”

It’ll come as no surprise to you that this is one of the biggest excuses and traps we set for ourselves when doing one of two things:

1: Trying something new
2: Doing something for ourselves

Listen, I completely understand and value that time is our most precious resource, because here’s the thing — HOW we use it helps us accomplish more than just our to-do list. We went ahead and asked our Face Yogis to tell us where and how they’re able to break through their biggest excuses and find the time to practice Face Yoga. (Yes, everyday men and women just like you, with busy lives and a never ending priority list.)

If they can do it, so can you! We think that their answers may come as a surprise, and hopefully an inspiration!

Excuse #1 : Time

If time was of concern for you, fear no more!

A well-rounded Face Yoga routine can be done in as quickly as 5 minutes, or as long and lavish as 20 or more! Face Yoga is a lifestyle that will cultivate awareness and healthy habits into your life, so even if your routine is just a few minutes a day – you will see tremendous benefits and results from embarking on a Face Yoga Journey.

Additionally, a Face Yoga routine does not have to be all done at the same time, making it even easier to integrate this practice into any lifestyle!

Pro Tip: You can add a few poses to your morning and/or evening routine, as you are brushing your teeth, applying moisturizer or even in the shower. Start there and see how easily you complete a full face routine without even taking out extra time out of your day.

Once you get familiar with how the exercises look and feel, your Face Yoga can be as limitless as you are.

But, we know you’re human, so your next thought is bound to be…

Excuse #2 : It Seems Hard

We’ve heard from Yogis who practice Face Yoga in their office, or while in the kitchen. We have Yogis who do Face Yoga as they wait in line at the doctor’s office, or each time they walk by a mirror. Some Yogis even practice while taking public transportation and others while they are already working out in the gym or at home.

Some Yogis from our Community reported doing Face Yoga as they do their homework, watch TV, or walk their dog. Whatever the preferred location, they’ve proved to us that they are innovative, great multi taskers and that this practice is simple enough to do practically anywhere.

NOTHING is required to get started with your practice. Even if you don’t have great muscle control on your face right now (ie: maybe you can’t wiggle your nose, or lift both eyebrows) that’s ok! Try Face Yoga and it’s likely that you’ll gain more muscle control and symmetry in your entire face and neck, plus so much more!

Excuse #3 : I’ll Look Ridiculous!

If this is the next excuse you’re reaching for, then it might shock you that “I practice Face Yoga everywhere” was in fact the NUMBER ONE response amongst our Community.

Practicing Face Yoga in the car was a close second behind practicing in the bathroom! Face Yoga has become a regular practice for our Yogis as they commute to work or anytime they are in their car. Some like to practice at red lights, some while they wait in traffic, and some have even mastered the hands free poses as they drive.

We can see why these two locations are such good places to incorporate your practice- they are both private. But, let us assure you that even if you’re in public, the only thing more silly-looking than Face Yoga, is hiding from pictures at a family gathering, or feeling self conscious about your face. Yes, it shows. Let us help you spend just a few minutes a day looking a little silly, so the rest of your day can be radiant!

Where Can You Incorporate The Face Yoga Method Into Your Life?

Let’s not forget that every lasting routine starts with small steps. And therefore we encourage you to reevaluate your actions and find an opportunity to add Face Yoga to your life!

Is it over a cup of hot water in the morning, or as you wind down before bed?
While you wash your face or brush your teeth?
How about while you’re making your kids breakfast in the morning?
The beauty is: You decide!

But not only will adding Face Yoga make you feel refreshed, empowered and happy – you’ll learn the quality of discipline, dedication, and time management. And who knows what else you’ll get inspired to find a little space in your life for!

If you’re ready to change your face and change your life ANYWHERE now knowing that time is not of concern, get our FREE QUICKSTART Full Face Routine to start your Journey with The Face Yoga Method!

    1. None of our exercises should cause you any pain or discomfort. In your case, I suggest lowering the intensity of the way you perform the exercise and increase the number of repetitions to compensate.

Ayuuuuudaaa,

    1. The biggest tip we have for you, is to take pictures. This can help track your progress and notice small changes that you may not otherwise notice. We suggest that you continue to exercise the poses and follow the below tips:

      1. Follow the instructions in each video *fully*, really pay attention
      2. Visualize and focus on the muscles you’re using
      3. Make sure you’re not using muscles you shouldn’t, like the forehead when doing eye exercises
      4. Practice in front of a mirror until you’re 100% confident you’re doing it correctly
      5. Pay attention to your daily habits. For example, if you’re doing neck & jawline exercises, but at night you’re sleeping on a pillow that’s too high and forms creases on your neck then that would be counter productive.
      6. Drink enough water and moisturize
