Natural Tips For Plump And Rosy Lips

Lips are one of the first places we lose plumpness as we age. They’re also one of those places we strive to regain the fullness of.

There’s something about our lips that connects us to our femininity and our gentle essence. And while lip injections have become popular in obtaining plump lips, there’s actually a better, and more natural way, to plump lips and obtain a healthy rosy color.

FACE YOGA FOR NATURALLY PLUMP LIPS

To plump lips naturally, and have fun doing it, let’s get started with Bumble Bee — a Pose that’ll remind you of childhood, and leave your lips rosy and full. With your mouth lightly closed, vibrate your lips together while making a humming sound for 10 seconds. Repeat 3 sets. Find step-by-step guidance in the video below.

One other way to plump lips naturally, that works great in combination with Bumble Bee is the Derma Roller! YES, you can use the Face Yoga Method Derma Roller on your lips. Your lips are not as sensitive as you might think. Lips are thinner compared to the face skin, but they heal much faster! You can even use the Derma Roller more often on your lips, than on your face.

Derma rolling your lips stimulates the blood circulation and wakes up your lips restoring the natural red color of the lips. Make sure you’re being gentle and not applying too much pressure or dragging the derma roller across your lips. In the video below, Maria walks you through this process.

HOMEMADE SOLUTIONS FOR YOUR LIPS

For healthy-looking lips, treat them how they’re meant to be treated. With care!

We know there are so many lip balms on the market, with color, sparkles, different aromas, etc., but have you examined the ingredients that make up your lip balm products?

When you choose to make your own lip balm, you can choose fresh, organic ingredients that you love and trust, and know the shelf life of. In fact, our lip balm recipes call for ingredients you can mostly eat!

Ingredients for Fumiko’s All-Natural Lip Balm:

  • Jojoba oil (1 tsp)
  • Avocado oil (1 tsp)
  • Coconut oil (1 tsp)
  • Beeswax (1 tsp)

How to blend:

  • Use a beaker or measuring cup (making it easier to pour later)
  • Add all the ingredients together in the heat resistant container
    • Adding more oil will make it softer & adding more beeswax will make it harder so the ratio can also depend on your preference.
  • Double boil the ingredients —  meaning add your heat-safe container inside of a pot of water.
  • Stir the ingredients until the water boils and the ingredients melt into liquid.
  • Pour the contents into containers of choice.
  • Let cool.

WHAT YOUR LIPS ARE TELLING YOU

Paying more attention to your lips tells you a lot more about your overall skin condition!

If your lips are often dry, cracked, or even start to show signs of horizontal lines, your body is lacking moisture and you’re dehydrated. This is your warning sign to drink water and moisturize. So when you notice the first signs ( horizontal lines) don’t just jump for the lip balm, but instead, get yourself a tall glass of water.

Pale lips are often a sign of Vitamin D deficiency, and a walk in the sun would be beneficial for your entire face (with proper sun protection in place). If pale lips persist, however, consult a doctor.

You don’t need expensive procedures to regain the fullness of your lips and their natural rosy color. In fact, the above-mentioned tips and the simple practice of Face Yoga will have you stunned by how easily you can plump your lips and restore their natural rosy color!

What type of dermaroller do u recommend. I have one but not sure the diameter and depth is that effective…..

    1. Hi Rachel! The derma roller we recommend has 0.75 mm needles for the facial roller and 1mm needles for the larger body roller. You don’t want the needles to be longer than 1mm for the facial area as it is not necessary and is more painful and may cause bleeding. The skin on the body is thicker, and the 1mm works well for body areas 🙂
