Homemade Facial Cleanser

Skin is one of the biggest organs of the body. It breathes, eliminates toxins and it reflects what is going on inside of our bodies. There are so many skin care products on the market and many of them say “Natural.” However, when you look at the ingredients, you may find lots of names of chemicals you have never heard of. My motto is “put only things you can eat on your face”. It does not always apply to all of the products I use but I have been trying to eliminate those “unnecessary” chemicals from my life. The results? Clean and clear skin!

Nature’s Beauty Secret

Here is one treatment I enjoy a lot. Using rosemary from my garden. It is safe, economical, environmentally friendly, and most importantly, it works! Rosemary is one of the most common herbs used in skin care especially in anti-aging products. It has powerful regenerating, rejuvenating and stimulating effects on the skin.

All you need are a couple of branches of fresh rosemary. You can use rosemary from the grocery store and even the dried one and/or aroma oil for the same purpose.
If you try this treatment once a week, I guarantee you will see and feel the difference on your skin!

1) Place rosemary in a bowl and pour hot, boiling water over the rosemary.
2) Cover the bowl with a towel and leave it for about 2 minutes.
3) When the time is up, remove the towel and place your face above the bowl.
4) Steam for 4 – 5 minutes.
5) When you finish, splash your face with cold water.

If you want to see more results, you can try the “ 100 times face splash”.

BONUS TIP: How to brighten your skin and tighten your pores!

Enjoy!

    1. Hi Okyanus,

Rosemary tea is a great tea, I love it too!
For the rosemary oil, you can definitely use it for facial massage – this oil has a stimulating effect on your skin and improves blood circulation. That means that it can help reduce puffiness by removing excess water from the skin.

      Hope this helps!

      Best,
      Fumiko

  1. Hi, how often should we do the cleansing? Thank you. It’s very effective – I tried for the first time today and makes my skin rejuvenated and stress free!
