How To Get Fuller Cheeks and Make A Skinny Face Meatier

“Meaty Face” vs “Boney Face”
Did you know that there are two types of face? One is the “boney face” and the other is the “meaty face.”

The people who have a  “Boney Face” tend to:

  • look older than their actual age.
  • loose weight from the face.
  • see the hollow on their cheeks when look down
  • look skinnier than their actual weight

The people who have a “Meaty Face” tend to:

  • look younger than their actual age.
  • carry more weight in the face than the body.
  • see the double chin when looking down
  • look heavier than their actual weight

Here are some examples of celebrities with “boney faces” and “meaty faces.” Angelina Jolie has a “boney face” and she is only 37 years old. Nicole Kidman has a “meaty face” and she is 45 years old. Does this surprise you? I was surprised!
I thought Angelina Jolie was older than her actual age and Nicole Kidman was younger than her actual age. Of course they dress differently and they carry themselves differently but both of them are skinny and I was wondering why they look the way they look. It is their face differences!!

The Little Known Factors That Could Change The Way You Look

I have a “boney face” and even when I was in my late teens, I looked much older than my actual age. I loved it when I was younger because I felt more “mature.” Now I am 44 years old. When I am tired or do not have enough sleep, it shows on my face right away! I try to keep my cheek area round so that I do not look older and/or tired.
In general, the person with “meaty face” looks younger than the person with “boney face.” The “meaty face” people look heavier than the people with a “boney face.” There is no such thing as “good” or “bad.” But if you are one of those people who wants to make your face rounder, there are certain face exercises you can do so that you look younger than your actual age!?
When you try this exercise, imagine your face getting rounder and fuller like the cheeks all the babies have! I do this exercise in the car when I take my daughter to school. Try it and let me know your progress.

  2. This has been my problem all along. I can say I have a boney face and one of my cheeks is rounder than the other. I am just 25 but lately I have been losing the only fat from my face and look so tired all the time. Also my skin has started showing large pores. Will this exercise help? Looks like the whole world wants a slimmer face, i want the opposite!!

    1. I want to make my face fuller too! I lose cheek fat when I get tired and that makes me look old and tired! So this one is for you! As for the asymmetry on your face, maybe you are eating with one side of the mouth? Are you sleeping on your side so that one side of your face is always pushed down?   3. what if my upper jaw is slightly more forward than the lower jaw (chin) when i curl them, because basically the gap between my nose and upper lips is very small…after i took off my braces, the area around my mouth becomes thinner 🙁 how to solve this?

  4. Omg you described exactly how I feel all the time! I dislike it when people come to me and said you ate too skinny (I’m not!) and that I look old (I know ppl can be so blunt). I lose all the fat on my face first makin me look so tired. I want to be skinny but I just can’t win. Now I know there are others like me

    Well, before, my cheeks are even, their shape/chubbiness are even. But then, I ate a lot. Mostly salty/sweet foods, then I researched that salty foods make face bloat so I manage to lessen it rather than stop it instantly. I am also exercising everyday. After class, when I’m going home, I make 10-15 walk. But still, I noticed recently, that when I smile at the camera, my cheeks become uneven. My right cheek is chubbier than my left cheek. What should I do to make it both even? I’m really looking forward to your response and tips. Thank you.

    I find it interesting though that you choose Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman as exaples. If you look at pictures of them from years ago and compare to photos from now you can tell that no one of these two women have their natural faces.

    Comparing Angelina Jolie photos from now and then:
    Jolie’s weight and body fat amount has changed a lot. Her whole life, from child to late 20’s Jolie had much more body fat and facial fat compared to now. And by doing close comparisons it is easy to see that Jolie has done some sort of chin and jaw (possibly cheek) alteration (lift and possibly liposuction and buccal fat pad removal). So I would say that Angelina Jolie was born with a “meaty face”, and by surgery combined with weight loss achieved a more boney face.

    Comparing Nicole Kidman photos from now and then:
    Kidman has the last years using a lot of fillers in her face and cheeks to look plumpier.

  18. Hello, thank you for your video! Do you think this exercise could work for someone with dimples? I have a slender face but when tried the exercise I felt most of the tension in my mid-cheek, absorbed by the area with the dimple indent, so I am not sure if it could have the same effect. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks.

    When I do this exercise, because my left side is more hollow than the right, I get a wrinkle on the left, will this exercise deepen it and make it appear? it is not there for now only when I do the exercise, but not on the right side ?
