Self reflection is something most people tap into when reaching a milestone and I’m no exception.

With 2018 right around the corner I myself started reminiscing about the year that’s just about to end. Did I do everything I set out to do in January? Did I travel as much as I wanted to, did I work as hard as I hoped I would, did I talk to my parents as often as I promised them I would? And most importantly, did I put myself first?

These are all questions I answer in today’s video.

Professionally it was a great year! I launched 2 Teacher Certification Classes and certified over 100 teachers. If you want to be a certified face yoga instructor join the waitlist here (next class begins on February 1st 2018)
I also created and launched the 30 Day Face Toning Challenge that has brought together an amazing community of women exercising and supporting each other.
The Oxygen Plasma Serum, Microdermabrasion, WonderPeel and Thera Band are products I added to the Face Yoga Method Line in 2017 and I couldn’t be more proud! Click here to find out more about the new products.
And finally, my Aging Habits Analysis Tool has been used by over 280,000 women all over the world. I still remember the very first entry we had and the feeling of accomplishment it raised in me. If you haven’t yet taken the quiz, you can do so here.

2017 has also been an amazing personal year. For my birthday I went to Paris with my sister-in-law, Maria, and then flew to Barcelona where we had a team retreat. Face Yoga Method is an 100% virtual team, all of the amazing women working behind the scenes that make all of this possible come from different corners of the world and I won’t lie, seeing them together, in person, for the first time brought tears to my eyes.
Lastly, I’ve also visited my parents in Japan for their 50th anniversary, the entire Takatsu family was reunited to celebrate this special milestone in our lives.

What an amazing year 2017 has been! Does this mean my path this year was only rainbows and butterflies? Not at all! But you know what? When the dust settles, I would rather remember the good instead of the bad. Being able to pick myself up, dust myself off, learn from my mistakes and carry on is probably my biggest accomplishment this year.

How about you? Did you do something exciting this year? Did you force yourself to get out of your comfort zone? When looking back at 2017 will it be one of those memorable years that you’ll forever remember as a milestone? I invite you to take this journey of self-reflection with me. Block out 30 minutes today, move away from computers, phones, TVs (anything that could grab your attention) look back, reminisce and count your successes.

Here’s for an even more amazing 2018!
