The Biggest Takeaways from My 50th Year

We often welcome the start of a new year with resolutions and opportunity in our eyes. We set big goals and high hopes for January. Weight loss, career change, stress reduction and even just general happiness are among the top of the list. But why is it that these often get forgotten by the middle of the year? It’s because we usually don’t take the time to truly reflect on the year we are leaving behind. ‘What achievements did I have this year that genuinely made me happy?’ ‘What is something I did that gave me a feeling of true purpose?’ ‘Did I make the right choices?’ These are all questions you should be asking yourself to have clarity going into the new year.

Maybe you are reflecting on the path that your life has taken, or perhaps an impactful event is causing you to question some things. These feelings are normal, and I can definitely relate.

This year I turned 50, and while I know this is a significant milestone, I didn’t really feel like planning anything for the event. A couple of days before the big day, I found out that an old friend from Japan had a stroke and was in a coma. Suddenly I felt the urge to take advantage of the time I had to celebrate this special day with all of my friends and family. In a mere two days, we managed to throw a party where over 60 people attended – I was so flattered!

Right after the party, I received news that my dear friend had passed away. While it was heartbreaking, it also reminded me of how lucky I am to be alive and especially to be doing something that makes me so happy each and every day. What motivates me the most to continue teaching the Face Yoga Method is my Face Yoga Teacher Certification Course where I have certified over 300 teachers. These graduates have not only gone on to teach the Face Yoga Method to other Face Yogis, but they have also built a special sisterly bond among themselves.

In case you have not heard about the Face Yoga Method Teacher Certification Course, let me tell you a little bit more about it…

Perhaps you are questioning your resolutions for the new year and what you want to do in 2019, or maybe even with your career. It’s time to take the reins and stop thinking about what you can’t change, and think instead about harnessing what IS in your control!

Let me be honest with you, it’s not easy to make a big change, but the faster you take that leap, the sooner you will achieve your goals. Yes, it may seem like a scary thing at first but look at all of these women that have taken that step and never looked back. I can’t advise you on what decisions to make in life, but I can confidently tell you: if there is something in your heart urging you to do something, just do it because life is too short not to follow your passion and live in pure happiness.

  1. Can you put me in touch with a face yoga teacher. I don’t want to learn to teach it just be shown how to inprove my face muscles.
If these e-mails are only for people wishing to teach then please don’t send me any more e-mails.

    Kindest regards

    Ellen
