Beginning Your Pro-Aging Journey In Your 20’s 30’s Plus our best tips on prevention!

My aging story begins where most of our aging stories begin. 

I was a young woman in my mid-30s, looking for love, purpose, and a solid path to take in my life. 

After years of struggling with insecurities around my appearance and severe acne, I was finally learning to embrace my flaws, who I was, and how I could take the wheel of my life. 

Then, just as I was finally on my path, uncovering what I was sure was going to be the rest of my life — my fateful incident happened. 

While vacationing with a friend, our car was struck from the driver’s side. 

Luckily we both survived. 

But I was left with face and body asymmetry that instantly throttled back into my insecure narrative.

What I didn’t know was that this incident, as terrible as it was, was one of the greatest things that could have happened to me. 

It was the beginning of my Face Yoga Journey. 

It was the beginning of true healing, deep self-love, and unconditional acceptance.

It was also what prompted me to redefine aging for myself, and later for hundreds of thousands of others.

But at the time, in regards to my face, no one had the answers I was looking for.

I was essentially given two choices: 

a) Do nothing and have an asymmetrical face forever
b) Opt for plastic surgery and injections

Needless to say, I didn’t find either of these “options” reasonable, or acceptable. 

That’s when I knew I had to take my face and my healing into my own hands, if it was going to be the way I imagined it — natural and empowering.

That is the origin story of the Face Yoga Method. 

The Mirror Moment

At some point, usually in our 30s, we all naturally begin to notice the aging taking place on our face. We at FYM, personally like to coin this, “The Mirror Moment.”

You know the one when you looked in the mirror one morning and felt like your face aged, and fell down, overnight…

This realization hits deep. It’s the moment you come face to face with aging. 

You see yourself daily and accept the subtle changes you’re most likely unaware of in the moment. But when you first realize the aging signs that formed on your face — there’s a particular feeling of loss.

That loss makes you retract time and try to rationalize when it started, what caused it, how you could have prevented it, and how you didn’t notice. For most, this isn’t a moment of self reverence but one of shame, and disempowerment.

The truth is, our face carries our authenticity.

Your face will show your sadness, and your joy, just as it shows your stress, your worry, your tension. 

Aging is a beautiful process to witness, but for so many it’s met with stress, lack of confidence, lack of vitality, and the loss of feeling good. What you might not be realizing, is that you’re subconsciously contributing to your aging, and your mindset around it, in ways easily preventable. 

So while there are scientifically proven reasons for faces drooping and “falling down”, in what seems like overnight, there are also scientifically proven ALL-NATURAL SOLUTIONS to counter it.
