One day at the dinner table, my mother pointed out that I was lifting my right eyebrow very high. She told me that I was wrinkling the right side of my forehead.
To make a long story short, I discovered that my repetitive unconscious forehead movement was creating one deep forehead wrinkle!
After that evening, I asked my mother to tell me to stop every time she noticed me moving the right eyebrow.
To my great surprise, my 2 inch long forehead line was gone in a few weeks. Today, I can still see the very thin mark of it but unless I pay close attention, it is hard to notice. I owe my mother big time!
The Shocking Truth About Your Forehead Movements
This experience made me aware of my facial movements, especially my forehead. I still catch myself moving only the right side of my eyebrow, especially when I am tired. But by doing one particular exercise, I can reset my forehead movements so that I do not create unnecessary and unwanted forehead wrinkles.
Now, it is your turn.
Let’s try something.
Look at yourself in the mirror. Open your eyes as wide as possible and take a look at your forehead area.
If you are wrinkling or frowning, you are probably not using the eyelids but rather the forehead muscles to open your eyes. If you keep doing this, your wrinkles and/or frowning will get deeper, longer and become permanent. Since you are not using your eye area muscles, the space between your eyes and eyebrows gets larger and that can create droopy eyelids too!
Get Rid of Forehead Wrinkles and Open Your Eyes Once and Forever!
One of the best ways to decrease and soften the forehead lines is to stop unconscious repetitive movements and train the forehead muscles not to move when you open your eyes and/or speak. It may not be easy at first, but you will definitely see the difference in a few weeks. Just paying attention to your own face movement helps you to correct this habit.
The “The Eye Opening Binocular Pose” exercise helps you to eliminate deep forehead lines. This replaces Botox in the forehead. This pose helps you control your forehead muscles. This exercise will make you aware of the muscles so you can learn not to move them during daily life. Your eyelids will get more exercise and as a result, your eyes will become bigger!
The Eye Opening Binocular Pose
• Curl your hands into “C” shapes.
• Place your index fingers above each eyebrow, along the upper eye bones.
• Position each thumb on either side of your nose, just above the nostril.
• Press the fingers of each hand downward and then sideways.
• Open your chest. Pull down your shoulder blades.
• Open your eyes as wide as possible, hold for 5 seconds, while pressing your index fingers firmly into your eyebrows making sure neither your eyebrows nor forehead move.
• Squint the eyes 5 times. Close your eyes and relax for a few seconds.
• Repeat 2 more sets.
